Set-Up > Your Company Details
The Compinfo2.dat file stores your company-specific details that appear on quotes, estimates, and other documents. You can edit this information through the software interface or by directly editing the data file.

This data file contains all your business information including company name, address, contact details, and registration numbers. Roof Wizard uses this information to automatically populate company details on all generated documents.
๐ง How to update company information
Using the software interface
Go to Set-Up > Your Company menu
Select [...] to add from a list of defined companies
[Update] your company details in the dialog,
or [Add] if you are defining a new company
Click OK to save changes

The Compinfo2.dat file structure is shown below. Each line corresponds to a specific company detail field for the currently selected Company Name:
Line | Field | Description |
1 | Company name | Your business name as it appears on documents |
2 | Company address 1 | First line of your business address |
3 | Company address 2 | Second line of address (suburb, city, postcode) |
4 | Company phone | Primary business phone number |
5 | Company fax | Business fax number (if applicable) |
6 | Company note 1 | Additional business information line 1 |
7 | Company note 2 | Additional business information line 2 |
8 | Company Number | Company Number - eg ABN or ACN |
๐ Multi-Company setup
For businesses that handle estimating and quoting for multiple companies in a group, you can add other company names.
These details are saved in the file MultiCompany.dat.

โThis allows you to switch between different company details when creating quotes and estimates. The currently selected company is saved in the CompInfo2.dat file.

Ensure Business numbers are correctly formatted

If company details don't appear on documents, check the file hasn't been corrupted
If the file is missing, Roof Wizard will create a new blank Compinfo2.dat
Special characters may not display correctly in some document formats
