🧰 What Slice-Hip does
Slice-Hip lets you lop off a portion of a hip end or remove a whole long side of a roof.
🏠 When you’d use it
This is typically used when a roof needs to abut an adjoining property boundary or a shared wall.
🪚 How to use Slice-Hip
Go to Mod-Roof > Slice-Hip.
When prompted, locate/select the eave line you want to slice relative to.
Enter a “Station” value.
📏 What “Station” means
The Station is the position where you want the hip sliced, measured horizontally from the selected eave line.
⚠️ Important limitation
You can only slice a hip end if it is defined as an eave that has a hip at each corner.
🧾 What changes after slicing (line types)
By default, the two new raked flashing lines created by Slice-Hip are assigned as Eave.
If you need different flashing/line types, you can change them any time using Tools > Cha-LineType.
💡 Remember: Use Tools > Cha-LineType for more control over the flashing used on the new geometry.
