β What Flying Gable does
Flying Gable inserts a gable along an existing hip line and automatically modifies the relevant planes to suit.
π§ How to insert a Flying Gable
Go to Mod-Roof > Flying Gable.
Select the eave
This also defines the plane you want to work with.
Select the hip
This is the line along which the gable is inserted.
The gable can be inserted anywhere from the bottom corner up to the apex.
The Flying Gable Defaults dialog appears β use it to define the gableβs position.

π Distance of apron from eave
The horizontal distance from the eave to the face of the gable.
If you enter 0, the gable is drawn at the base of the hip.
π Distance of gable apex from top of hip
The horizontal distance from the top of the hip to where the valley of the new gable will intersect.
If you enter 0, the gable is wedged at the top of the hip.
