Why is Roof Wizard crashing or freezing when generating cut lists, saving, or opening files?

Fix crashes/freezes during cut lists, saving, or opening files by switching the default text font from a vector font to a TrueType Font (TTF) and saving the layout values.

đŸ§© What’s causing this?

Our best guess is that somehow the default font has been changed to a “vector” font. The vector fonts are used when printing to the old pen plotters. You would only find these in a museum now.

✅ Fix: Switch the default font to a TrueType Font (TTF)

  1. Go to CAD > Defaults > Text Defaults

  2. Make sure that you have True Type Font selected.

  3. You change it by hitting the button at the bottom of that dialog box.

đŸ’Ÿ Save the setting permanently

Once set to TTF, select:

File > Layout > Save Values


to store this setting permanently.
