How do I display roof pitches?

Learn how to show pitch angles and slopes on roof planes using the Show Pitches command.

Menu path

Tools > Show Pitches

🧾 What it does

The Show Pitches command automatically displays the storey and the pitch/slope on each roof plane in the model. This provides a visual reference of roof angles directly on your drawing.

πŸ”§ How to use it

  1. Navigate to Tools in the main menu

  2. Select Show Pitches

  3. The pitch labels will appear on all visible roof planes

The pitch labels show as degree measurements (for example, 27.5Β°) on each roof plane surface.

πŸ›  Configuring display options

You can customise what information appears with the pitch labels:

  1. Go to Set-up > Dimension Defaults

  2. Look for the pitch display options

  3. Choose whether to show:

    • Storey number

    • Direction of fall (the downward slope direction of the roof)

πŸ’‘ Tips

  • Use this feature for quick visual confirmation of roof pitch/slope and storey of each roof plane during design

  • The direction of fall indicator helps identify water flow patterns on the roof

  • If labels disappear, simply run the Show Pitches command again
