Walls > Create Wall

What it does

The Create Wall command allows you to select any closed polygonal shape and create a wall plane upon it. This is particularly useful for restoring wall planes after modifying wall edge lines using Smartlines functions.

πŸ”§ How to use Create Wall

  1. Ensure you have a closed polygonal shape drawn on your model (this could be created using line tools or remaining after wall modifications)

  5. The system will generate a wall plane based on your selected shape

πŸ›  Common use case: Restoring walls after modifications

This command is particularly valuable when you've used Smartlines functions to:

  • Delete existing walls

  • Trim wall lines

  • Cut wall lines

After these modifications, you can use Create Wall to reinstate the wall planes where needed.

πŸ’‘ Tips

  • The polygonal shape must be completely closed for the command to work

  • Check that all line endpoints connect properly before attempting to create the wall

  • This command works with any closed shape, not just rectangular forms

⚠️ Important notes

  • Wall planes: These are the 3D surfaces that represent your walls in the model

  • Closed polygonal shape: A series of connected lines that form a complete, enclosed boundary

  • The original polygonal lines will typically remain as wall edge lines after the wall plane is created
