π§Ύ What it does
The Track Single Wall command allows you to create a single wall elevation by tracking around its outline. This method is ideal when you need to follow the perimeter of an existing structure or when drawing around complex wall shapes that would be difficult to create with straight line segments.
You can insert multiple wall elevations on the same job using this command, making it useful for projects with multiple separate wall sections.
π§ How to use it
Navigate to Walls > Track Single Wall
Position your cursor at the starting point of the wall outline
Click to begin tracking
Move your cursor along the outline of the wall you want to create
The software will follow your cursor movement to define the wall shape
Click to set key points along the wall outline as needed
Complete the wall by returning to your starting point or finishing the outline
The wall elevation will be created based on your tracked path
β
π When to use this command
Track Single Wall is particularly useful when:
Following irregular or curved wall outlines
Tracing existing wall structures from plans or site measurements
Creating walls that don't follow simple geometric patterns
Working with walls that have multiple direction changes
π‘ Tips
This command works similarly to other tracking functions in Roof Wizard, so if you're familiar with tracking roof outlines, the same principles apply to wall tracking.
Take your time when tracking to ensure accuracy, as the wall elevation will be based on the path you define.
β οΈ Important notes
As with the Draw Single Wall command, you can add multiple wall elevations to a single project, allowing you to model complete building elevations with multiple wall sections.
