How do I change circle entity properties?

Change the colour, layer, style, and weight properties of existing circle entities in your CAD drawings.

The Circle Change command allows you to modify the display properties of existing circle entities in your CAD drawings. You can change colour, layer, style, and weight properties either individually or by copying properties from another circle.

CAD > CAD Edit > Change > Circle

  1. Select the CAD > Circle > Change command to open the Circle > Change/Defaults dialog box

  2. Choose which properties you want to modify from the available options

  3. Select the circle entity you want to change

  4. The selected properties will be applied to the circle

Property

Description

Colour

Changes the colour of an existing circle entity

Layer

Moves the circle to a different drawing layer

Style

Changes the line style of the circle (solid, dashed, etc.)

Weight

Changes the line thickness of the circle

Copy

Copies the property settings from an existing circle into the Circle Change Defaults dialog box

πŸ’‘ Important notes

The property settings you select in the dialog box will apply only to the current Circle Change command. When you use the Circle Change command again later, it will open with the default property settings, not your previous selections.

The Copy option allows you to take all the display properties (colour, layer, style, weight) from an existing circle and apply them to other circles. This is useful when you want to match the appearance of circles in your drawing.
