What this command does
The Drop-Eave command drops the eave along the full length of a plane edge, based on a horizontal offset.
This is similar to the Atrium command, but it applies to the full length of the eave.
How to use Drop-Eave
Select Mod-Roof > Drop-Eave.
When prompted, select the eave you want to drop.
Enter the horizontal offset you want the eave to move.
Roof Wizard projects the eave along the roof plane using:
the horizontal offset you entered, and
the pitch of the plane
Net effect: the eave drops down in the plane of the roof, at the same pitch as the existing roof plane.

💡 If you want to drop the eave by a specific vertical distance, enter:
dh / tan(pitch)
Where:
dh = the vertical distance you want to drop the eave by
pitch = the pitch of the roof plane (in degrees)
