Include or exclude delivery costs from reports
Track delivery expenses by geographic area
🔧 Setting up delivery areas
Follow these steps to create your delivery areas:
Go to Set-Up > More... > Area-Names
In the dialog box, type the new area name (e.g., "City Centre", "Outer Suburbs")
Set the delivery rate for that area
Choose your line item label for reports (this appears in Reporting > Supply+Install)
Select whether to include or exclude this line item in reports
Click [Add] to save the new area
🛠 Managing existing areas
Action | Description |

[Add] | Create a new delivery area with specified rate and label |

💡 Delivery area tips
You can define up to 1,000 different area names
Use descriptive names that match your actual delivery zones
Consider grouping areas by distance or delivery cost brackets
Set realistic rates based on fuel costs and travel time
🧾 Data storage
When you click [OK], your delivery area details are saved in a data file called areas.csv in your ..\User folder. This file stores all your area names, rates, and display settings.
⚠️ Tile distributors note
If you're a tile distributor, you may also define a cartage rate per 100 tiles in addition to delivery charges. When both cartage and delivery rates are configured, both can be listed separately in the reporting dialog. For cartage rate setup, refer to Set-Up > Set Up Pay Rates > Tile Rates - Fixed.
🔧 Using delivery areas in jobs
Once set up, your delivery areas appear in the Job-Info > Job Details command, where you can select the appropriate area for each job. The system will automatically apply the associated delivery rate to your job costing.
