Mod-Roof > Extend Barge
What it does
The Extend Barge command allows you to move or 'stretch' barge (rake) lines perpendicular to their current position. This adjusts how far the barge extends beyond or into the roof plane, which is useful for accommodating different fascia board widths or architectural requirements.
How to use it
Navigate to Mod-Roof > Extend Barge
Select the barge line you want to extend
Enter the horizontal offset or extend distance when prompted
Click OK to apply the changes
🔧 Distance values
Value Type | Direction | Description |
Positive number | Out of the plane | Extends the barge line further away from the roof plane |
Negative number | Into the plane | Moves the barge line closer to the roof plane |
💡 When to use this feature
Adjusting barge overhangs for different fascia board sizes
Meeting specific architectural requirements
Correcting barge positions after roof modifications
Standardising barge extensions across multiple roof sections
⚠️ Important notes
The barge line moves perpendicular to the roof plane, not along the eave line
Enter distances in the units configured for your project (typically millimetres)
The adjustment affects the selected barge line only
