Extend Barge — Stretch a barge/rake line along an eave

Stretch or move a barge/rake line along the eave using Mod-Roof > Extend Barge. Select the barge line, enter the horizontal offset/extend distance, click OK, and the rake line updates. Positive = out of plane; negative = into plane.

✅ What this command does

This command allows barge lines to be moved or “stretched” along the line of the eave.

🏠 How to extend a barge (rake) line

  1. Go to Mod-Roof > Extend Barge

  2. When prompted, select the barge line you want to extend

  3. Enter the horizontal offset (extend distance)

  4. Click [OK]

  5. The barge (rake) line is adjusted accordingly

↔️ Horizontal Offset rules

  • A positive number is always out of the plane

  • A negative number is always into the plane

Applies equally to gable ends and rake lines as shown here.
