What are Curved Metal Pay Rates?

Configure labour rates for curved metal roofing installation with pitch-based rate schedules.

What it does

This feature allows you to set up labour pay rates specifically for curved metal roofing installations. Curved metal roofing refers to metal sheeting installed on curved or barrel-shaped roof sections, which typically requires different installation techniques and labour rates compared to standard flat metal roofing.

You select a pay schedule for a job on the Cover > Select Metal dialog box when setting up your project materials.

Description

Name

The name of this pay schedule

Storey

The storey to which the following rates apply. A schedule can have up to 10 storeys

Pitch Intervals

The pitch intervals you want to set for the job. Set them by clicking the Intervals button at the bottom of the dialog. To edit a column of values, click on the interval value

Line items

For each line item, enter the rate per unit area or length for that line item. For roof removal and gutter removal, only the first pitch interval rate is read when reporting is performed

Lists existing schedules. Select the one you want for editing. After selecting a schedule, the Update button appears allowing you to update the schedule

Delete

Deletes the currently selected schedule

Add

Adds the current schedule (schedules must have unique names)

Cancel

Closes the dialog box without saving changes

Intervals

Allows you to define the pitch intervals you want to use

OK

Closes and saves the changes you have made

Use curved metal pay rates when:

  • Installing metal roofing on curved or barrel-shaped roof sections

  • Labour rates differ from standard metal roofing due to increased complexity

  • You need pitch-specific rates for curved installations

  • Estimating projects with specialised curved metal work

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Schedules must have unique names

  • For roof removal and gutter removal line items, only the first pitch interval rate is used in reporting calculations

  • You can set up to 10 storeys per schedule

  • Pitch intervals are defined using the Intervals button
