Why does Supply and Install crash after I copy my User folder to a new PC?

If Supply and Install starts crashing after you copy your User folder onto a new PC, it’s usually because one of the copied data files is corrupted. A common example is CustFlashRates.csv containing invalid data in the final “spare” column.

🧯 What’s happening?

Copied files to the User folder to set up a new PC and now Supply and Install crashes out software.

This is rather dramatic and a bit scary, but don't panic — it is due to one of your datafiles being broken.

🛠️ The fix

In my case it was CustFlashRates.csv — we had incorrect data in the last column that is supposed to be a spare column.

Edited the file to remove the incorrect data in the last column and it all started working again.
