Why does my Excel template stop processing halfway through the report?

If your Excel report only fills part of the template and drops you back to Supply & Install, check your System Preferences for Excel “Rows/Columns to Process” — they may be limiting how much of the worksheet Roof Wizard is allowed to process.

⚠️ What you’re seeing

You have defined a small Excel template and it all works great, so you go nuts and develop the big report template that covers off everything in a single report!

Perfect, except that it only processes half the template and throws you back to the Supply and Supply dialog box and the the Excel template is only half complete.

✅ Most likely cause

Well, the chances are you have constrained the processing of the Excel worksheet.

Indeed we have seen the Preference Settings for the processing of the work sheet set at 0 columns and 0 rows. This effectively constrains the extents of the worksheet to be processed.

🛠️ The fix

  1. Expand the range of rows and columns to process, setting the extents of the worksheet to a range that encompasses all the rows and columns in your new template.

  2. Select [OK] to save these settings and run the report again.
