Why won’t my new Excel template finish processing the whole report?

If your Excel report stops part-way through, you may have limited the rows/columns Roof Wizard is allowed to process. Increase the “Rows to Process” and “Columns to Process” settings to match your template size.

🧾 What’s happening

My new MS Excel template fails to finish processing entire report.

If your brand new, all conquering, fantastic MS Excel template fails to process all the key text strings in your design, it might not be broken.

It may be that you have exceeded the number of rows and columns in the matrix of your spreadsheet. Roof Wizard has an option to set the extent of the spreadsheet matrix to limit the size, and speed up processing of the report.

Excel – Columns to Process Limits to range of cells in Excel to process. Useful if the total matrix of cells is large.

Excel – Rows to Process Limits to range of cells in Excel to process. Useful if the total matrix of cells is large.

If this number is smaller than the extent of your template design, it will stop - in the case of our example of 30 rows, it stops at row 30.

🛠️ The Fix

Determine the full extent of your matrix, and set these default numbers to suit your template.

Once changed, select [OK] so that the settings are saved.
