✅ Why this happens
This is usually caused by the item you are trying to delete being attached to something else on the model (e.g. attached to a roof plane, a line, a block, etc.).
🧰 Last resort: Use Delete Element
After all normal attempts to delete the entity, then as a last resort:
✅ Delete Element will delete anything on the model no matter what it is attached to.
⚠️ Important: Please note that this can cause things to become disconnected and possibly corrupt the model, so use it only when your are sure that you need to or as advised by AppliCad.
📝 Note: If you don’t see Delete Element
If you don’t see Delete Element as an option, then you will need to create a file in your ..\User folder called Debug.txt.
📄 Create Debug.txt
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your ..\User folder
Right click anywhere in there
Select New > Text Document
Rename the new text document to Debug.txt
✅ What happens next
With the Debug file created, when you go back into the Roof Wizard software and select the Tools > Check Model option you will now see all of these new 'debug mode' options appear -
