How do I change plane materials?

Change the material assigned to roof planes using the Change Entity menu or double-click method.

This command allows you to change the material category assigned to a roof plane. Material category selection allows you to select from the required material type in the category when you select the Cover function, affecting roof calculations and estimations throughout your project.

  1. Select Tools > Change Entity > Plane Material from the main menu

  2. Choose from the material category options: tiles, shingles, shakes, metal or low-slope

  3. Click on the roof planes you want to change to the selected material category

You can also change plane materials by double-clicking the left mouse button directly on any roof plane. This opens the same material selection options.

You can determine the current roof plane material by:

  1. Selecting the Tools > Verify command from the main menu

  2. Clicking on a roof plane

  3. Reading the plane tags - the material is stored as a ROOFMAT tag
