π§Ύ Wall Flashing Overview
The Wall Flashing command generates flashings for opening trims and corners of walls. When you select Flashing, the Wall Flashing dialogue box displays the flashing/trim material to be used on each line type in your wall model.
β
To change trim types, click the relevant button. The Batten button displays available batten materials for that line style, offering several options including None (no material), Custom (fabricated flashing profile from press break), regular flashing items (roll-former fabricated), or Flashing Assembly (multiple flashing profiles for parapet caps and box gutters).
β
Important: All materials must first be defined using Set-Up > Flashing.
β
π§ Wall Battens Configuration
The wall batten button includes the Insert/Modify option that opens a comprehensive setup dialogue for wall battens/purlins.

Batten Division and Management

π§Ύ Wall Flashing Allowances
Click Allowance to display the allowances dialogue box.
These allowances work similarly to roof flashings and rely on wall directions (inside/outside) and connections to determine internal or external flashing line configurations.
β οΈ Important: Allowances are not automatically applied for walls drawn individually or flat. Use the Single-Allow button to modify flashing allowance lengths manually.
Allowance Type | Description |
Run Allowance | Length added to each line to ensure adequate installation material |
Lap Allowance | Length added for lap joins in material |
Internal Allowance | Extra material for creating mitred internal corners |
External Allowance | Extra material for creating mitred external corners |
π Generate Wall Flashings
Select Generate to create a cutting list of wall flashings, including battens and all accessory items required for trim package installation. The software reviews all materials and accessories before generating the comprehensive list.
If a roof has been quoted, the list will include both roof and wall trim items.
