Configure the appearance of roof lines, ridges, valleys, and planes including colour, style, and weight through system preferences.

Menu path

Set-Up > Preference Settings > System Preferences > Set Line Styles/Plane Options

What it does: This feature controls how roof elements appear in your drawings, including the colour, style, and weight (thickness) of lines for ridges, valleys, and other roof features. It also manages the visual appearance of roof and wall planes.

🧾 Line Style Configuration Files

Roof Wizard uses CSV files to store your line style preferences:

No longer used - replaced by LinestylesV6.csv

LinestylesV6.csv

Current file storing line styles (colour, style, weight) for roof lines and appearance settings for roof and wall planes

πŸ”§ How to Configure Line Styles

  1. Go to Set-Up > Preference Settings > System Preferences

  2. Select Set Line Styles/Plane Options

  3. Configure your preferred settings for:

    • Line colour for different roof elements

    • Line style (solid, dashed, etc.)

    • Line weight (thickness)

    • Roof plane appearance

    • Wall plane appearance

  4. Save your changes

πŸ’‘ Important Notes

These settings are typically configured through the software interface rather than by editing the CSV files directly. Your preferences are automatically saved to the LinestylesV6.csv file when you make changes through the system preferences menu.

The settings affect how ridges, valleys, and other roof line elements appear in your drawings, as well as the visual styling of roof and wall planes.
