How do I set up flashing assemblies?

Set up roof flashing assembly details that combine multiple flashings with graphic details for estimation and documentation.

This command allows you to set up roof flashing assembly details. These assemblies combine one or more flashings with a flashing detail graphic for use in your roof estimation and documentation.

Important: Each flashing item used in an assembly must already exist as a standard profile flashing or a custom flashing profile material.

Field

Description

Name of Assembly Group

Group name for organising your flashing assemblies

Name of Flashing Assembly

The name you define for this flashing detail. You will use this name when selecting flashing or edge assembly details

Database name of graphic detail

The name of the database (*.dab file) containing the subfigure of the graphic detail. Click this field to select the database you want. The default database name is EdgeAssembly.dab

Figure name of graphic detail

The name of the CAD subfigure to be inserted when you select this flashing assembly or detail. Click this field to see the list of PDFs and CAD subfigures in the given database

Add an accessory item to the list

Add a fastener to the list


πŸ’Ύ Data Storage

When you click OK, the details are stored in the data file called EdgeAss.csv.

Material data files such as this are best edited from within AppliCad software via the appropriate dialog box. However, as they are in a comma separated text file format (CSV), they may also be edited in a spreadsheet program if needed.
