How do I show or hide wall hatching patterns?

Displays or hides hatch patterns on modelled walls to make them easier to select and confirm that Roof Wizard recognises those planes as walls (not just plane entities).

πŸ”§ How to show wall hatching

  1. Model your walls using any of the wall creation tools

  2. Use the [Show/Hide-Walls] command to display hatch patterns on the walls

  3. The hatching will appear as either vertical or horizontal lines, depicting the style of siding (vertical or horizontal)

πŸ”§ How to hide wall hatching

  1. Use the [Show/Hide-Walls] command again to turn off the hatch pattern

  2. You can still select the walls by clicking onto their individual tick marks (selection handles) located in one of the corners of the wall outline

You can change the hatching style between horizontal and vertical using the [Hor/Vert] command.


🧾 Wall display options

The appearance of the walls on screen is determined by the System Preference settings for Planes. You can choose between two display modes:

Display Mode

Hatched planes

Shows walls with line patterns indicating siding direction

Filled planes

Shows walls as solid filled areas
