How do I exit the software?

What it does

Exits AppliCad Roof Wizard completely. If you have unsaved changes to your current model, the software will prompt you to save your work before closing.

How to exit the software

There are several ways to exit AppliCad Roof Wizard:

  1. Click File in the menu bar, then select Exit

  2. Click the X button in the top-right corner of the window

  3. Press Alt+F4 on your keyboard

  4. Right-click the AppliCad Roof Wizard icon in your taskbar and select Close window

If you have unsaved changes, a dialog will appear with these options:

Exits without saving (you will lose any unsaved changes)

Returns to the software without exiting


💡 Tips

  • Always save your work regularly using File > Save or Ctrl+S to avoid losing progress

⚠️ Important notes

  • Clicking No in the save dialog will permanently lose any changes made since your last save

  • Force-closing the software (such as ending the process in Task Manager) may cause data loss and is not recommended
