🪟 Windows compatibility
Roof Wizard is a Windows-based application designed to run on standard business PC hardware. If your PC runs Windows, Roof Wizard will run.
🍏 Mac compatibility
Roof Wizard does not run natively in macOS, but many users run it on a Mac using:
Parallels or VMware Fusion (with Microsoft Windows installed)
Crossover (Windows not required in some cases)
Note: Our unlimited support covers Roof Wizard only. We’re happy to help with anything inside the software, but we don’t provide support for Parallels/VMware/Crossover setup or troubleshooting (those are third-party tools).
💻 Hardware recommendations
RAM: minimum 4GB (more RAM is better, especially for larger/complex jobs)
Monitors: a twin-screen setup is recommended (PDF plans on one screen, Roof Wizard on the other)
Mouse: a mouse with two buttons + scroll wheel is strongly recommended
📄 Microsoft Word + Excel (recommended)
Roof Wizard generates reports into Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, so having Microsoft Office installed (or accessible on your network) is recommended for the smoothest reporting experience.
