Can I export cutting lists directly to a rollformer or other fabrication equipment?

Yes. Roof Wizard can export panel cutting lists (e.g., CSV/text and supported rollformer formats) using lengths calculated from your 3D model - so you can load job-specific cut data into fabrication equipment without retyping.

Updated today

✅ Yes - rollformer export is supported

Cutting lists straight from the 3D model

Once your panel lengths are calculated from the 3D model, Roof Wizard can export the cutting list for transfer into your rollformer/controller - so you don’t have to manually re-enter every panel length.

🔁 How it works

Panel Cutting List → Export to Rollformer

  1. Generate your panels and cutting list

  2. Open the Panel Cutting List Summary

  3. Click Export to Rollformer

  4. Choose the required output format

  5. Save the file and transfer it via network or memory stick to the machine controller

🎯 Why manufacturers and fabricators love this

Less double-handling, fewer errors

Exporting the cutting list:

  • Eliminates transcription mistakes from manual entry

  • Saves significant time in production

  • Helps ensure the rollformer is cutting exactly what the job requires

🧩 Compatibility (rollformer models + formats)

It depends on your controller format

Compatible controllers:

NewTech

AMS

Beck

Proface

Siemens

Roof Wizard supports multiple export formats, and compatibility depends on your rollformer/controller model and what import format it expects.

Have a controller that's not on our list?

We can develop a new format for the controller that you use. Just get in touch with the AppliCad support team.

🧾 Other fabrication equipment / systems

CSV/text exports

If your equipment or workflow uses a different import method, Roof Wizard can also output cutting data as CSV/text for use in other systems (or Excel-based workflows).
