What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

Your files stay yours. Cancelling stops your active license, but your Roof Wizard jobs and setup files remain on your computer (or shared drive). You can still open and print existing jobs in Read Only mode.

💾 Your data stays where you store it

Roof Wizard data is stored locally by default in your User folder (commonly C:\AppliCad\Roof Wizard\User) or it can be stored in a shared network folder mapped as a drive.

That means cancelling your subscription doesn’t delete your job files or your setup (materials, reports/templates, allowances, etc.)—those files remain in that location.


🔒 What changes when you cancel

If your subscription is cancelled and you no longer have an active license, Roof Wizard will run as not licensed and automatically switch to Read Only mode.


👀 What you can still do in Read Only mode

In Read Only mode you can:

  • Open existing jobs to view, check, and print client proposals/reports

  • Review/print reports and proposals

You cannot:

  • Create new jobs

  • Change or save job changes


☁️ If your setup is on a shared/cloud drive

If you’ve set your User/setup files to a shared folder (including a cloud-synced drive mapped as a drive letter), those files stay there too—so your standards can remain ready for future use.
