How do I change the text on Block-Cut reports?

Block-Cut reports include two different text types (panel annotation and block annotation). Here’s where each text size is controlled and what it affects.

📝 Two types of text on a Block-Cut report

Like all the settings in this software, this is easy once you know how, but note that there are two types of text on a Block-Cut report:

  • Panel annotation

  • Block annotation

🧩 To change the size of the panel annotation

The size of this text is controlled by the Panel Allowances settings for panel allowances.

This setting controls the text size for annotating panels on regular Gen-Panels as well as regular Blocking and Block-Cutting processes.

Note: This text is input with the text setting known as Plot Scaled which means that the size of the text will be the defined size regardless of the scale of the final plot of the model. It is also controlled by the View > Plot-Scale function.

🔠 To change the size of block annotation

This changes the size of the annotation of the blocks as they are input. It does not change them once the blocking is complete.

The above setting results in the following appearance of the block-cut annotation.

🧪 Test your settings

Try a few settings on a simple job and print them out to ensure that you are getting the result that you need.
