How do I manage sheet and panel accessories?

Learn how to add, manage, and configure accessories for metal sheets and panels in your roofing estimates.

Sheet and panel accessories are additional items like clips, screws, seam tape, and underlay that are associated with your selected metal roofing materials.

🧾 Understanding Metal Sheet Accessories

Sheet accessories are stored in a file called sheetaccessories.csv and include common items such as:

  • Clips

  • Screws

  • Seam tape

  • Underlay

  • Other panel-specific components

There are two types of accessories you can work with:

  • Predefined accessories: Saved globally and available for all jobs

  • Job-specific accessories: Added for the current job only and saved with the job data

πŸ”§ Managing Accessories

When working with metal sheets or panels in your materials setup:

  1. Click the Accessories button to view all accessories defined for the selected panel

  2. The list displays both predefined accessories and any job-specific items you've added

  3. Add additional items unique to this job - these will be saved with the job data only

  4. Job-specific accessories are not added to the global predefined list

πŸ›  Allowances Configuration

The Allowances option lets you configure material allowances:

Allowances are defined under the Estimate menu and are typically saved with names that relate to the specific profile being used.

πŸ’‘ Saving Your Settings

When you click OK, your settings are saved as the global cover materials for the current job. The roof cover material settings you configure apply to all roof planes in the current job.
